Tonkatsu

A classic Japanese comfort food.

This was busting, but I probably won't make often. While the Tonkatsu was obviously the main event, what really rocked my socks off on this occasion was the sesame dressing that I made to go with the cabbage. Its super simple, literally just the following mixed together: Mayo, sesame seeds crushed, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and salt. You could put this on anything savory and it'll taste great!

I'm glad I made this but I've decided I prefer chicken to pork when it comes to katsu (torikatsu) and here in Amsterdam anyway, they leave loads of bone and bits on the pork chops so the prep is more time consuming because I can't butcher very well. Also piggies are smart so I always think about that before I eat them, but I forget fast once its on my plate because yum.
